Tiffany Mulloy recently participated in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon Weekend for the 2nd year in a row, in honor of her son Allan and all those living with Duchenne. Tiffany raised more than $11,000 with the support of her family, friends, and community.

Why did you choose to join the Race to End Duchenne team?
All in with Allan will always be dedicated to research to end Duchenne and resources for those with it. Allan is and forever will be our hero for how strong he is. Muscles don’t make you strong, your ability to keep trying and doing your best does!
How many races have you participated in?
This is our second race as a family!
How do you prepare for races?
Preparation for our race is honestly more focused on fundraising for us. All in with Allan prepares for the race (pigAbilities) by showing up and crossing that finish line.
Do you have any fundraising and/or training tips or pointers you would share with other runners – either advice someone gave you or you’ve discovered on your own?
We started thinking about our theme for this 2023 Race to End Duchenne sometime after last year was done. The 2022 theme was “Striking Down Duchenne” and it was in Allan’s school colors. This year, we started really fundraising in January and brainstorming ways we can make the biggest impact. Our theme this year is “Strength in Numbers” and we truly believe that. The more people that are aware of Duchenne and willing to help, the better. We try to get his whole community involved. Last year, we sold shirts and were able to raise quite a bit of money, which warmed my heart. Allan was invited by the high school baseball team to throw out the first pitch and they wore his shirt for warmups! It was an amazing experience.
What will be the first thing you do when you finish your next race?
Enjoy the celebration of Allan’s impact on his community and others! We’ll spend time together and continue to make more memories, because that is what life is all about.
