Everyday Tips & Tricks for Families

Sharing and crowdsourcing are invaluable for the Duchenne and Becker community. To that end, we invite you to share daily living tips and hacks that work for you and your family. With so many resources online, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when searching for solutions that truly help—without having to test everything yourself. That’s where our community of Duchenne and Becker experts and their families come in.

PPMD Knight Hacks was created in memory of Angela Knight, a dedicated mom who tirelessly sought ways to make daily life easier for her son. In her honor, we offer this platform, celebrating her legacy of resourcefulness and care. If you have a product, homemade solution, or practical tip that’s made a difference, please share it by filling out our submission form here.

Submissions are reviewed by PPMD’s Adult Advisory Committee (PAAC), who will post your recommendations for others to explore, share, and use. Together, we make each other stronger!

ABOUT KNIGHT HACKS

Thanks to the generosity of PTC Therapeutics and members of the community, PPMD has established PPMD Knight Hacks: Everyday Tips and Tricks for Families, in memory of Angela Knight.

One of Angela Knight’s enduring legacies is that she never let Duchenne stop her son Jack from doing everything he wanted in life. Whether it was creating travel adventures, finding accessible transportation when there seemed to be none, or setting Jack up for successful independent living in college, Angela always found a way to make things work.

Angela was loved by the PPMD community, and we hope her legacy lives on through Knight Hacks and every day actions taken by community members to support and lift each other up.
