Jaylen’s Journey to End Duchenne

For the second year in a row, the Jhaveri family has celebrated World Duchenne Awareness Day (WDAD) in honor of their son, Jaylen, who was diagnosed on August 13, 2015 at the age of 3 ½. Started by the World Duchenne Organization, WDAD falls on the 7th day of September (the 9th month of the year) representing the 79 exons in the dystrophin gene.

For two years now, the Jhaveri family has gathered with family and friends at Proper West in NYC for a happy hour to raise awareness and money for Duchenne and PPMD. Their 2nd annual event raised over $10,000 through donations and matching gifts.

This is an easy (and incredibly successful!) way to DIY fundraise to End Duchenne! PPMD has the tools to help you reach success. Contact us for more information on how to get started.
