It’s the start of the football season and we are excited to kick off this year’s 12th Annual Coach To Cure MD! Although we would normally host our annual event on the last Saturday of September, it’s a unique year in college football, so our season is a little different this year as well.
This fall, we’re excited to kick off Coach To Cure MD at the start of the season, and we’ll wrap up the celebration with teams wearing our patches and raising awareness on Saturday, November 14!
So, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, and with some extra time on the clock this fall, that means there’s plenty of time for you to rally your community to support your efforts to #TackleDuchenne! If you haven’t started your own team page, you can do so here. There’s also plenty of other fun, socially distant ways you can hit the grid iron this season—just like the Poysky family did as they started us off strong with their event celebrating the beginning of Coach To Cure MD season!
Spotlight: Poysky Family’s Drive-Through Pick-Up Party
In honor of their son Joel’s 18th birthday and what would have been our original Coach To Cure MD celebration date last weekend, the Poysky family hosted a drive-through pick-up party in their hometown of Houston, Texas. Over 50 friends and family members ordered family meals to go from a local restaurant, Treebeards, and many more friends from near and far made donations in honor of Joel. Not only did the Poysky’s reach their goal of raising $18,000—they surpassed it! Over $23,000 was raised for Coach To Cure MD and over 100 bellies were very full!
Let’s Tackle Duchenne!
