Health & Well-being

  • Kid Care Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
    CHIP provides health insurance to eligible children based on family size and income.   Children under age 19 who have not been insured for at least 30 days may be eligible for CHIP.  There are no monthly premiums.  Some families may have co-pays for certain services based on income.

    Provides adult day services, case management, community living services, community support services, homemaker, personal care, respite, supported employment, dietician services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, skilled nursing, speech, hearing and language services, behavioral support services, child habilitation services, cognitive retraining, companion services, crisis intervention support, environmental modification, individual habilitation training, specialized equipment, transportation for individuals with ID/DD (0 – no max age).

    • Wyoming definition of Developmental Disability includes physical impairment.
    • Currently a significant waiting list for applicants.

      Waiver Guide and Application

  • Wyoming Health Insurance Premium Payment (WHIPP) Program
    WHIPP may pay the insurance premiums, co-insurance, and deductibles for Medicaid recipients to keep their health insurance. Eligibility for WHIPP is based on a Medicaid client’s medical needs and the cost-effectiveness to the State of Wyoming.
