Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Announces Charity Partnership in Atlanta

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), a nonprofit organization leading the fight to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), has been chosen by Bodies Running Company as the Official Charity Partner of the Atlanta Fall Finish race in Grant Park on September 25, 2022.

PPMD is participating as part of its signature endurance fundraising program, Race to End Duchenne. Since 2005, Race to End Duchenne team members have raised more than $15 million to advance PPMD’s mission to end Duchenne, a fatal genetic disorder that slowly robs people of their muscle strength. PPMD’s Race to End Duchenne program supports the organization’s vital work in advancing research, care, and advocacy to help those with Duchenne live longer, stronger lives.

“PPMD is thrilled to be the official charity partner of the Atlanta Fall Finish race,” said Jamie Jones, PPMD’s Community Engagement Coordinator. “We’re looking forward to growing this partnership and engaging local Duchenne families in the race as a way to connect and have some fun.”

The Atlanta Fall Finish race begins at 9:00AM EST on September 25, 2022.  Registration is now open for the 5K, 10K, or Virtual Race option.  Participants who sign up through PPMD’s link will receive a fundraising page and a discount code for registering, allowing a portion of the registration fee to be donated back to PPMD’s mission to end Duchenne.
