Direct Access: Dr. Kathryn Wagner, Kennedy Krieger Institute (September 2011)

DuchenneConnect (now The Duchenne Registry) presents a webinar series that allows you direct access to key figures in the fight to end Duchenne.

The first installment in our series features Dr. Kathryn Wagner, Director of the Center for Genetic Muscle Disorders of The Kennedy Krieger Institute and John Hopkins School of Medicine.

Kathryn Wagner, MD, PhD leads the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s (KKI) interdisciplinary clinic. Because young men with Duchenne often find it difficult to transition services from pediatric to adult, the model for the KKI neuromuscular clinic includes transition. Kathryn’s team is currently recruiting young adults and adults for a clinical trial with Revatio (also known as Sildenafil) for heart disease in Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy.

Watch to learn more about Kennedy Krieger Institute’s interdisciplinary clinic, transition services, clinical trials, and future plans.
