38th Annual Friar Fight to End Duchenne Golf Tournament Raises Over $43,000 in the Fight to End Duchenne

The 38th Annual Friar Fight to End Duchenne Golf Tournament raised $43,712 for PPMD this year, bringing their total raised for our organization to $1,129,475!

This event continually makes us proud, to see such wonderful people rally behind the Friars and the Duchenne community. We could not be more grateful for the support they continuously show us. Organizing an event like this is not easy, but DeAnne Friar, a member of PPMD’s Board of Directors, and her husband, Mike Friar, seamlessly put this event on year after year with smiles on their faces and determination to help end Duchenne.

By the time this event comes to an end, the Friars don’t stop there. They then take their efforts from the golf course to the downtown streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and organize the best .1K race out there! This year’s GR .1K will take place on Saturday, November 5th and it’s not too late to join them!

We can’t wait to partake in all the fun with the Friars and their amazing community this Fall – thank you all for your unwavering commitment to our mission. You are truly helping to make a difference and better the lives of those living with Duchenne.
